Happy Dragon Boat Festival!

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is one of China’s four major traditional festivals, and was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2009. It originated from ancient customs of warding off plagues and praying for blessings, and later incorporated the memory of the poet Qu Yuan. Traditional activities include eating zongzi, dragon boat racing, hanging mugwort, and wearing sachets.

The holiday runs from June 19 to 21, with work resuming on June 22. Wishing you and your family a peaceful, joyful and refreshing break.
